Water.org is a nonprofit organization whose founders have transformed hundreds of communities in Africa, South Asia, and Latin America by providing access to safe water and sanitation. Water.org empowers local communities and individuals to develop and sustain solutions to their own water and sanitation
needs. Water.org maintains an impressive success rate for its projects. A recent study by Emory University found 100 percent of projects surveyed still operational, with users more than satisfied.
Water.org uses its expertise to seek out and fund those partner organizations and projects that produce lasting results. Locally elected water committees play a critical role in the projects success. They serve as the liaison between the community and our partner organization, facilitate the hygiene education program, and determine the community work schedule for project construction.Co-founded by Matt Damon and Gary White, Water.org is a nonprofit organization that has transformed hundreds of communities in Africa, South Asia, and Central America by providing access to safe water and sanitation.
