Contemporary Arts Center
Since 1976, the Contemporary Arts Center has been home to artists bold experiments in painting, theater, photography, performance art, dance, music, video, education, and sculpture. Situated at the gateway to New Orleans Downtown Arts District, Their award-winning building houses 10,000 square feet of gallery space dedicated to rotating exhibitions throughout the year.
The Contemporary Arts Center is a multi-disciplinary arts center, financially stable and professionally managed, which
is dedicated to the presentation, production and promotion of art of their time. It accomplished these by organizing
curated exhibitions, performances and programs; enlarging audiences; and encouraging collaboration among diverse artists, institutions, communities and supporters.
The Contemporary Arts Center’s vision is that the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans be a multi-disciplinary arts center, nationally recognized as a leader in the presentation and support of contemporary arts, artists and emerging art forms.
